Job Description

 

Responsibilities:

• Supervise the various sections and ensure that the sections are run in a systematic manner resulting in achivement of department and company goals
• Ensure a high level of service to clients and intermedireirs leading to clients and imtermediaries satisfaction and loyalty
• Ensure that the Department targets, budgets and business plans are met
• Ensure that the business conducted in the department is in compliance with relevant laws, and also the rules and regulations established by the regulatory authorities and the General Insurance Association
• Ensure efficient communication by:

1. Dissemination of information, directions and decisions of Senior Management to the staff
2. Highlighting the issues raised by the staff and their suggestions for improvement to the Senior Management
3. Liaison with other Heads of Departments to ensure smooth running of day to day operations

• Set performance objectives for the staff and conduct periodic and annual performance appraisal and related consulting 
• Ensure that the relevant measures are taken towards systematic training and development of the staff in the department

Job Requirement

 

Requirements:

• Degree or ACII / AMII
• At least 15 years experience in general insurance
• Possess sound knowledge in all aspect of general insurance and a good knowledge of insurance market conditions
