Job Description

Disbursement Control

  • · Review of operating cheques to ensure proper coding and adequately supported by relevant approved documents.
  • · Checking of non-operating cheques – claims and overseas payment
  • · Verification of Citibanking payments.
  • · Monthly expenses posting
  • · Monthly expenses accruals
  • · Daily CSV files for upload to Meridian
  • · Maintain and update accruals listing

 Treasury and Investment Control

  • · Monitor bank balance
  • · Monitor maturity / placement of Time Deposits / coding / matching bank advises
  • · Monitor interest income receipt and update interest schedule
  • · Update of investment schedule
  • · Coding incoming funds by TT
  • · Update of bank balance – Citibank RM & USD a/c
  • · Investment portfolio summary report
  • · Monthly accruals – expenses and investment income
  • · Monitor bank balance – premium collection a/cs (fund transfer and premium booking)
  • · Preparation of bank exposure report
  • · Open of bank a/c
  • · Preparation of Investment portfolio inclusive of receivable (ACP)

 REPORTING

HO Reporting

  • · Preparation of IAP.
  • · Preparation of quarterly requirement report-IQ forms.
  • · Preparation of Year End reporting.

 Local Management Reporting

  • · Preparation of XOL treaty allocation and set up of automated XOL treaty allocation in Meridian.

 BNM and Statutory Returns

  •  · Submission of JPI: 1/2002-Guidelines on appointment of Fund Managers to BNM (AS3).

 MNRB Statement

  • · Preparation of MNRB retrocession premium booking schedule.

 Other Non- Statutory Returns

  • · Preparation of stamp duty payment and submission
  • · Preparation of Unclaimed Money submission
  • · Application letter to Cawangan Tidak Bermastaudin of IRB to obtain the tax reference no. for payment of withholding tax.
  • · Preparation and submission of withholding tax.

 Preparation of PIAM – Mode of payment report

General

  • · Update expense allocation.
  • · Opening GL a/c
  • · Update cost centre

 Back-up Security administrator for Meridian System

  • · Create in the system a new user ID and initial password on basis of a properly approved System Access Request (SAR).
  • · Review for each active user the access group and assigned system features and functions on a regular basis (at least twice a year).
  • · Provide the list of registered system users to HR Department at least twice a year to confirm currency of staff.
  • · Reset passwords in accordance with procedures set.
  • · Delete/disable user IDs and passwords for resigned staff on immediate notification by HR.
  • · Ensure that passwords (if assigned manually) are kept in a safe concealed envelope.

 Others

  • · Any other duties as assigned

Working Hours :

Monday to Friday - 8.30am to 5.30pm

Salary : The Company has an open budget for this position and the salary is negotiable,depending on qualification and experience.

Job Requirement

  • Accounting Degree or/and member of recognised professional accounting body or in the midst of pursuing a professional accounting qualification
  • At least 3 to 5 years of working experiences (preferably with an insurance company or/and an audit firm)
  • Able to work independently
  • Advantage for chinese language speakers
  • Analytical minded
