Job Description

  • Leading R&D efforts of company from its inception to develop a range of butchery products.
  • Building and implementing a detailed research work plan to fulfill company’s research objectives.
  • Developing samples for range of products based on company’s requirements.
  • Manages and Conducts testing process for new and existing product lines, and packaging materials to ensure quality throughout the product life cycle.
  • Assist in development of ingredient statements and nutrition facts panels for new products.
  • Deal with internal and external parties in relation with new product development such as material suppliers, external laboratories, government agencies, product certification body, etc. 
  • To identify, plan, deploy and review all R&D projects.
  • Identifying, documenting, reviewing design specification requirements.
  • To assist in implementing HACCP.
  • To perform R&D tasks within the time frame.
  • To perform analysis and development of new products for company.
  • To improve the quality and competency of existing products.

Job Requirement

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology / Nutrition, Science & Technology or equivalent or significant job experience in Food Science / Food Technology.
  • Working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and be able to work independently, under pressure, meet tight deadlines & is results oriented.
  • Good supervisory and team work skills in a fast faced and challenging environment.
  • Preferably Managers specializing in Butchery field or equivalent.
  • Food manufacturing experience beneficial.

De-Luxe Food Services Sdn Bhd was established in 1994, a wholly owned subsidiary of Pok Brothers Sdn Bhd.

De-Luxe Food Service Sdn Bhd currently based in the same location as HQ was established in 1994 to manufacture and process HALAL premium food products for two divisions (Bakery & Butchery) and that all the products are marketed as GOURMESSA brand.

Bakery: This division produces good quality croissants, bread rolls and loaves, Danish pastries, muffins, pizza crusts, pies, tarts, puff pastry dough, cookies etc. Currently we are concentrating in the domestic market that we sell to the 3 to 5 star hotels, restaurants, cruise ships, bakery shops, international chain of restaurants, off shore oil rigs and the caterer for airlines. Also, for many years we have been doing contract manufacturing for a Swiss company that export to many Asian countries like Japan, China and to Australia as well.

Butchery: This division processed ?value added Halal food products? to further service and support our customers? requirements. Currently they are producing portion control meat, delicatessen sandwich meat, sausages, smoked salmon, salad dressings, sauces etc.

All De-Luxe food products are Halal certified by Jakim (Malaysian government Islamic Organisation) and further we have obtained the prestigious Certificate ISO 22000:2005.
