Job Description

• Provides professional, advisory, and executive support to the Management to meet the strategic goals of Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall.
• Plans for the strategic implementation of M&E components into the design and development of projects.
• Establishes best practices for standard detail drawing and specs (product, process, and material).
• Ensures M&E works and inspections comply with statutory and local authority requirements, as well as health and safety legislations.
• Sees to it that M&E consultants and contractors meet the set specifications and observe best practices.
• Supervises and controls the Maintenance Request system.
• Carries out contract administration (i.e., tendering and award processes) for M&E works accurately and according to the designated timeframe.
• Prepares monthly forecast and reports, and ensures that expenses are within the department budget, capital plan, and projects.
• Oversees the recruitment of staff and implements training systems for the department.
• Institutes a system for the conservation of energy, water, and resources to minimize wastage and cost.

Job Requirement

• Minimum Bachelor Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience, with at least 7 years in a managerial capacity.
• Competent in writing and communicating in English and Bahasa Melayu. Competence in vernacular languages such as Chinese and Tamil would be an added advantage.
• Strong leadership skills with ability to engage in strategic thinking.
• People-oriented and able to communicate effectively.
• Good grasp of knowledge in current Engineering and Safety standards, as well as statutory
